The 10-Minute Listing Formula That Top Sellers Use Every Single Time

The difference between a listing that converts and one that sits for weeks isn't luck or followers. It's a system. Top sellers on Luuk don't approach each listing differently depending on how they feel that day. They run the same checklist, every time, in roughly the same order. The result is consistent quality that compounds into a consistent reputation.

Here's the checklist. It takes ten minutes.

Minutes 1โ€“2: Stage your shot

Set up near your window. Put the product on a clean, non-distracting surface โ€” white cloth, a wooden table, a plain background. Remove anything from the background that doesn't add to the story. Check your phone's camera is clean (smudged lens is the most common avoidable quality problem). Set it up at eye level or slightly above the product, not looking up from below.

You're not building a studio. You're eliminating distractions. The product should be the only thing the buyer looks at.

Minutes 3โ€“4: Write your three-point script

Don't ad-lib. Write three points on a piece of paper before filming:

  1. The hook: What is the most interesting or valuable thing about this product? Start with that.
  2. The proof: What can you show (not just tell) that proves the value? Demonstrate it.
  3. The close: Price + escrow guarantee + call to action. "โ‚ฆX,000, protected by Luuk escrow, tap the buy button or send me an offer."

Three points. Written down. Read them once before you start filming.

Minutes 5โ€“7: Film (two takes maximum)

Do one practice take. Don't post it โ€” just do it to hear how you sound and see how the product looks on camera. Then do your real take. If the second take is worse than the first, post the first one. Top sellers do not do eight takes. The energy in take one or two is always better than take seven.

The 3-second rule

Your hook must land in the first 3 seconds. If the most interesting thing about your product isn't visible or audible within 3 seconds, restructure. Buyers decide whether to keep watching in the first 3 seconds.

Minute 8: Write your listing description

Don't just put "DM for price." Write:

  • Exactly what the item is and its condition
  • Key specifications (size, colour, model, age if secondhand)
  • Price (clearly stated)
  • Delivery options and timeline
  • One line about why this is a good deal

A complete description reduces questions from buyers. Fewer questions means faster decisions. Faster decisions means more sales per day.

Minute 9: Set your price with the buffer

Take your minimum acceptable price. Add 10โ€“12%. That's your listed price. You've built in room to negotiate without dropping below your floor.

Minute 10: Post and respond immediately

Post the listing and then stay in the app for 10 minutes. The first wave of views happens in the 15 minutes after posting โ€” buyers who are active right now will see it first. Respond to any messages or comments instantly during this window. A fast response in the first 10 minutes dramatically improves early conversion, which signals quality to the algorithm and improves how far your video gets distributed.

"I post 3โ€“4 listings a day using this formula. Each one takes me about 12 minutes including the re-read. The consistency is what built my rating to 4.9. No single listing is perfect โ€” but all of them are solid."

That's it. Ten minutes. The sellers who treat listing creation as a repeatable process rather than a creative exercise are the ones who win at scale. Build the system. Run it every time. Let consistency do what inspiration cannot.
